Power Recommendations:

If downstream USB peripherals consume less than 500mA in total a good quality 2.5 amp power supply can be used, otherwise it is recommended to use a 3.0 amp power supply.

Raspberry pi 4 Heat Sink Locations:

When using the Raspberry Pi 4, in most cases, heat sinks are recommended. See photo above for where standard heat sinks are placed. The following list describes where heat sinks are placed on the Raspberry Pi 4:

CPU – The largest square heat sink is placed directly on top of the central processing unit (CPU) chip.

RAM – The medium sized rectangle heat sink is placed directly on top of the RAM chip.

Network – The smallest square heat sink is placed directly on top of the Network controller chip.

Raspberry Pi 4 Micro SD Card Slot:

The micro-SD Card slot is located on the bottom right in the picture above. When placing a micro-SD card into slot the edge with gold plated connectors goes in first facing the board. The side of the micro-SD card with brand name and model description should be facing outward.
